This blog has been established to facilitate and demonstrate how various mobile technologies can be used to capture reflections, share ideas and resources, and in this case to hopefully result in a collaborative rich media event report for the RSC London event on 26th May 2010 – Engaging Learners – Evidencing Impact.
During the day we will use various technologies including the following:
Blogs
We’ll use http://www.posterous.com and http://wordpress.com/ we could have used others e.g. http://blogger.com and we’ll have posterous automatically feeding into wordpress.
Microblogging/SMS
We’ll use Twitter and xlearn/learningapps text wall again automatically feeding into the blogs.
Podcasting
Posterous will provide this as well as http://ipadio.com and http://audioboo.com and possibly http://www.gabcast.com with these feeding into the blogs
Images
We’ll use flickr but also images emailed to posterous and/or wordpress.
Video
we’ll use youtube but also emailing to posterous and possibly moletv.
Live video broadcasting
probably http://ustream.com but we’re not expecting delegates to do this.
Office files etc e.g word, ppt, pdf
can all be emailed to posterous and will be handled automatically
The unique tag for all of this will be #rsclondonimpact and the documentation will include how to include other tags when emailing to blog etc.
